Michael Stillwater is an innovator using music, words and images. Songwriter, recording artist, filmmaker, photographer, illustrator and educator, he artistically addresses societal issues, creating music in the moment, capturing beauty in familiar surroundings, and helping people reconnect to their creative essence.
With over forty years counseling and group leadership, Doris is a psychologist (Psych.FH) whose work draws from C.G. Jung analysis, Gestalt therapy, Bodytherapy, energy trauma work, Insight Meditation and Tibetan Buddhism. Known for her wisdom, insight, and access to vast resources of philosophy, spirituality and world music, she helps people in transition through personal sessions and retreats in Europe and America.
Together, Michael and Doris collaborate on works which meet the soul. Their creative focus has been instrumental in producing the audio resource Graceful Passages: A Companion for Living and Dying, the music recording The Honoring, and the films Shining Night and In Search of the Great Song, and Beyond the Fear of Singing. They reside in Finland and travel internationally.
Camille Adair, RN is a health care thought leader, educator, speaker and documentary filmmaker. Her passion to humanize health care through relationship is based on a blend of her personal and professional experience as well as traditional spiritual wisdom, backed by modern research. Aware of the vital role of the arts in wellness was part of her original vision for creating Living Bridges, fiscal sponsor of Song Without Borders from 2010 to 2021.
An expert in video post-production, Joel has contributed in bringing both of our feature documentaries into a high calibre of professionalism. He resides in Zurich, Switzerland.
Dan Alvarez has contributed to our audio productions for two decades. His composing, arranging, sound design, production, and performing credits include dozens of recordings, as well as a multitude of radio and television commercials, feature and industrial films, video games, and network television series. He has been the recipient of two Emmy awards.
Gary Malkin, whose music infuses both In Search of the Great Song and Beyond the Fear of Singing, has been a musical and creative collaborator with us for decades. He is a multiple Emmy, CLIO, and ASCAP award-winning composer, producer and recording artist dedicated to making a difference in the world by creating music-driven media and events that inspire the heart and catalyze individual and social healing.
A visionary philanthropist, Ursula has supported Song Without Borders from the beginning- providing key seed funding, significant creative contributions, and major event hosting.
She is also a gifted pianist and healing practitioner utilizing a variety of healing modalities, all of which ultimately led her to the recognition of the healing power of sound and vibration.
The experience of the Great Song guides our creative process.
